AMAZING FREE APP
I am constantly looking for newly released music, and when songs just come out, they usualy arent available on iTunes. Because they aren’t available for purchase, I end up having to download then from an online video converter. I even sometimes download entire albums that arent available on iTunes, so having this Tag Editor is SUPER convenient!! I’m always using it! and the fact that its FREE makes it even better! Some thing that I would like being able to do in future updates would be to show if some songs were explicit. Overall an AMAZING app! I recomend for anyone who downloads MP3’s from the internet and wants them to have album art.
album art
Been trying to add album artwork to music files since itunes went goofey on me. I am a dj/producer and wanted to add artwork to my personal production projects and dj sets. Unfortunately, itunes has found a way to make something so simple into a university course. This app was able to edit my files on the first try. So far I love it. I will provided additional reviews at a later date however, for now this is exactly what I needed and wanted.

I've tried a lot such as iEatBrainz and PolluxApp. Aside from the usual tagging, album artwork and lyrics are also important to me. Most taggers I've tried haven't inserted lyrics reliably.

It's not free, but TuneUp is a really good product. Did wonders on my library, which had a ton of music that I took from podcasts (song of the day stuff). Made it pretty simple to get the right album and meta-data as well as the album art.
TuneUp is able to intelligently fix your music library using cutting-edge acoustic fingerprinting technology, which evaluates the song's digital DNA and references it against Gracenote's MusicID™, the world's largest database of music metadata.
Check out Jaikoz Audio Tagger, it has full iTunes integration and it's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. There is also Tune Up, the basic version is free but limited.
I've been on the hunt myself and haven't found anything as good as mp3tag for windows. So I've got that in virtualbox and playonmac (foss all the way).
Picard is nice in that you can add any fields you want (I often edit TCOP/WCOP/WOAF when releasing tracks under the creative commons) but I can't figure out how to change album art with it.
For a scriptable solution I've crawled back to the command line and have been using the free eyed3 which can be installed via macports
id3 editor is the fastest launching solution I've found but it costs money and doesn't have access to any custom fields.

Personally I've always been pretty pleased with the crowd sourced information from MusicBrainz via their Picard tagger. I don't remember it supplying Lyrics and Artwork though so it may not be up to your requirements.
